“Raat 9 Baje…”: Yamini Singh’s Shocking Claim On Why She Stopped Working With Bhojpuri Star Pawan Singh
Bhojpuri actress Yamini Singh recently spoke at length about her experience of working with Pawan Singh and shared why she will not work with the Bhojpuri star again.
Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh, who is popular among the masses for his singing and acting talent, has once again come into the limelight but this time for all the wrong reasons. Bhojpuri actress Yamini Singh recently spoke to News18 Hindi about her experience of working with Pawan Singh and went on to make some shocking claims, revealing why she left the project mid-way. The Bhojpuri actress also stated that she will never work with Pawan Singh again.
The actress also rubbished Pawan Singh’s claims of helping her bag her first film ‘Boss’. According to Yamini, it was director Arvind Choubey, who gave her the chance to act in ‘Boss’.
Yamini told News18 Hindi, “I want to clear one thing through your channel that Pawan Singh often says that he gave me work for the first time in the Bhojpuri industry. Let me tell you that he did not give me my first film. I was offered the film by director Arvind Choubey. The movie’s name was 'Boss'.”
The Bhojpuri actress added, “Let me clear one more misconception regarding this film that neither Pawan Singh nor the director told me to quit the movie. I myself decided to quit ‘Boss’.”
Yamini Singh also said how she was every bit delighted to play the female lead opposite Pawan Singh but her perception of the Bhojpuri superstar changed after she got the opportunity to work alongside him.
“I earlier thought that he is very good singer and does good work. I really liked his singing. When we met for the first time on the set, I praised him. Now I would like to ask his fans that if someone tells your mother, sister, daughter-in-law or daughter to do something wrong, will you still sit as a devotee of that person? That day I had taken a vow that I will stay in this industry and will work with everyone but will not work with them,” she added.
Opening up about her traumatic experience of working with the Bhojpuri superstar in ‘Boss’ before she decided to walk out of the film, she claimed that Pawan Singh doesn’t respect women and also revealed how she was asked to come for the shooting of the film at odd hours.
“One day I got a call late at 9 pm. Was told to catch an auto and come to the studio. I replied saying -at this time? They responded saying - don't you want to do the film? I said - does Pawan Singh talk to everyone like this? They answered saying ‘he is a superstar’. I said in response - I am also a superstar and disconnected the phone, refusing to work in the film,” Yamini said.
In an earlier interview, Yamini Singh had even highlighted that actresses don’t get to play lead roles in Pawan Singh’s films.
On the work front, Yamini Singh will soon start shooting for the film 'Godfather' with Khesari Lal Yadav.
