Has Sai Pallavi Turned Vegetarian For Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’? Actress Shares Angry Post
Sai Pallavi reacted to reports that claimed she had turned vegetarian to play the role of Goddess Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’.
Indian actress Sai Pallavi, who recently gave a critically acclaimed performance in Tamil film ‘Amaran’, is all set to play the role of Goddess Sita in Nitesh Tiwari's ‘Ramayana’, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Yash as Raavana. There have been several reports doing the rounds that Sai Pallavi has given up non-vegetarian food for the upcoming pan-India film. However, Sai Pallavi has now cleared the air, slamming these unverified reports. Sai Pallavi has also warned of taking legal action if there are more “baseless rumours” about her.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Sai Pallavi wrote, “Most of the times, Almost every-time, I choose to stay silent whenever I see baseless rumours/ fabricated lies/ incorrect statements being spread with or without motives(God knows) but it’s high-time that I react as it keeps happening consistently and doesn’t seem to cease; especially around the time of my films’ releases/ announcements/ cherish-able moments of my career!”
“Next time I see any “reputed” page or media/ individual carrying a cooked up crappy story in the name of news or gossip then you will hear from me legally! Period,” she added.

Sai Pallavi's angry reaction came after a Tamil portal’s report stated that the actress has given up on non-vegetarian food, as she is playing the role of Sita. The report also claimed that Sai Pallavi travels with her own team of cooks during her trips.
For the uninitiated, Sai Pallavi has always been a vegetarian. Earlier, during an interview, she had stated, “If you take food, I am forever a vegetarian. I can't see when a life dies. I can't hurt another person and think that it is okay, they deserve it.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sai Pallavi was last seen in the Tamil biographical action film, ‘Amaran’. The film, which turned out to be a smash hit at the box office, is an adaptation of the book series ‘India's Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes’ by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh.
The film stars Sivakarthikeyan as Major Mukund Varadarajan, alongside Rahul Bose and Bhuvan Arora.
Sai Pallavi's next project is the ambitious ‘Ramayana’. Apart from Sai Pallavi, Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, the movie will also feature Ravi Dubey and Sunny Deol.
The film is scheduled to release in two parts with the first one releasing on Diwali 2026.
