"Not Due To Political Pressure": Vijay's Leo Audio Launch Event Cancelled
The audio launch event of Vijay's upcoming movie 'Leo' has been cancelled.
'Leo' is one of the most-anticipated Tamil movies of 2023 and director Lokesh Kanagaraj and his team are leaving no stone unturned to keep the buzz high regarding the movie. The Vijay-starrer will be releasing worldwide on October 19, 2023. In the latest entertainment news, the makers had planned a grand audio launch event in Chennai, but sadly, the event has now been cancelled. Seven Screen Studio, the production house behind 'Leo' have now clarified the reasons behind the cancellation, saying the decision has not been taken due to "political pressure."
"Considering overflowing passes requests & safety constraints, we have decided not to conduct the Leo Audio Launch. In respect of the fans' wishes, we will keep you engaged with frequent updates," the handle wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
"P.S. As many would imagine, this is not due to political pressure or any other reasons," it added.

For the unversed, the audio launch event was scheduled to take place on September 30 at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai.
"It is a very hard decision and We feel the same level of disappointment as each one of the fan will go through. Despite working out various options and tremendous effort, we had to take this tough call, considering the extreme overflow in tickets demand and prioritising the safety of the guests," Jagadish Palanisamy, one of the producers of Leo wrote on X.
'Leo' also stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan and Mysskin among other.
The music for the film has been provided by Anirudh Ravichander, who earlier won applause for his work in 'Jailer' and 'Jawan'.
For a long time, it is being rumoured that actor Vijay is planning to launch his political party following the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. It is also being said that he might contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly polls.
