A new trailer for 'Avatar: The Way Of Water' has been released ahead of the movie's much-anticipated release on December 16. The trailer is a visual treat and the fans are in for a spectacular ride. The second part of the 'Avatar' franchise will see the return of Stephen Lang's villain character 'Colonel Quaritch' and he will once again be at odds against Pandora native Neytiri played by Zoe Saldana and her partner Jake Sully played by Sam Worthington.
The newly released trailer also shows glimpses of Jake and Neytiri enjoying some quality family time. The fans will also get a deeper look at the couple's Na'vi children.
There are some newcomers to the franchise as well and they include the likes of Kate Winslet, Michelle Yeoh, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, and Jemaine Clement.
Just like the 2009 flick 'Avatar', the second part is also being helmed by James Cameron and he has also written and produced the mega Hollywood flick.
The story has been co-written by Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Josh Friedman, and Shane Salerno.
The first 'Avatar' which was released in 2009 was set in the mid-22nd century where humans are trying to colonise pandora, a habitable moon of a gas giant in the Alpha Centauri star system, to mine the valuable mineral unobtanium.
The title of the film refers to a genetically engineered Na'vi body that is being operated from the brain of a remotely located human that is used to interact with the natives of Pandora.
'Avatar' had gone on to win the Oscar for Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, and Best Visual Effects, and was nominated for a total of nine accolades, including Best Picture.
