CWC 2023: Ahead of the start of the tournament, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma had a funny request.
The Cricket World Cup 2023 will get underway on Thursday with 2019 finalists England and New Zealand squaring off against each other. Whenever a tournament or marquee series is held in India, fans create a frenzy surrounding tickets, and even the cricket players are bombarded with requests for tickets. In the latest entertainment news, ahead of CWC 2023 opener, India batter Virat Kohli made a plea, asking his friends not to request him for tickets.
Taking to Instagram Story, Virat Kohli wrote, "As we approach the World Cup, I would humbly like to let all my friends know to not request me for tickets at all through the tournament. Enjoy from your homes pls."
Anushka Sharma posted a screenshot of Virat Kohli's story, and wrote, "And let me just add, please don't request me to help if your messages get unanswered. Thank you for your understanding."

For the unversed, India will start their World Cup campaign on Sunday with the match against Australia in Chennai on October 8. Recently, India's two warm-up fixtures against England and the Netherlands were abandoned due to rain in Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram, respectively.
India will be playing their group stage matches in Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Pune, Dharamsala, Lucknow, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad.
