The weekend is nearly upon us, and we are back again to give you recommendations on what all you can watch across various OTT platforms. Imtiaz Ali's much-awaited 'Amar Singh Chamkila' has finally released on Netflix. On the other hand, super-hit Malayalam film 'Premalu' has also arrived on Disney+ Hotstar. So it is fair to say that the weekend is an exciting one, and there are several options to choose from.

Amar Singh Chamkila (Netflix)
Starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra, the film introduces the viewers to the life of the uber-popular Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila. The film is set in Punjab in the 1980s and the movie narrates the story of the rise and struggles of the Punjabi singer.
For the unversed, Amar Singh Chamkila is known as Punjab’s original rockstar of the masses, the highest record-selling artist of his time, who emerged from the shadows of poverty and rose to the heights of popularity in the 80s due to the sheer power of his music. However, he was assassinated at a young age of 27.
Premalu (Disney+ Hotstar)
This Malayalam film starring Naslen K Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, released in cinemas in February 2024, and it has finally arrived on Disney+ Hotstar. The film directed by Girish AD also stars Sangeeth Prathap, Shyam Mohan, Meenakshi Raveendran, Akhila Bhargavan, and Althaf Salim. The movie is currently the fourth highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time, second highest grossing Malayalam of 2024 and one of the highest grossing Indian films of 2024.
The Great Indian Kapil Show (Netflix)
The third episode of Kapil Sharma's 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' will be coming out this Saturday. The episode will be graced by Diljit Dosanjh, Parineeti Chopra and Imtiaz Ali. It needs to be seen how the likes of Sunil Grover and Krushna Abhishek crack up the 'Amar Singh Chamkila' trio.
Fallout (Prime Video)
The new web series is an American post-apocalyptic drama project created by Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet for Amazon Prime Video. The eight-episode series is based on the role-playing video game franchise created by Interplay Entertainment and now owned by Bethesda Softworks.
The series tries to portray the aftermath of an apocalyptic nuclear exchange in an alternate history of Earth.
What Jennifer Did (Netflix)
This documentary revolves around Jennifer Pan, who phones the police to report a home invasion. However, as the investigation unfolds, she ultimately becomes the main subject of the case. It is based on a true complicated criminal case.
