India's very own Ranveer Singh was recently presented with 'The Red Sea: Honoree Award' at the ongoing The Red Sea Film Festival. He was given the accolade by none other than Sharon Stone, and she described him as an "all-round creative genius." In the latest entertainment news, a video of Ranveer Singh's acceptance speech is going viral on the internet. In his speech, Ranveer voiced his admiration for Johnny Depp, who was sitting in the audience.

"I want to go off-script for a moment here. One of my screen idols is in the house, ladies and gentlemen, Mr Johnny Depp. My good sir, I’ve followed your work since Edward Scissorhands and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape," said Ranveer Singh.

"What an honour to be receiving this in your presence. Thank you for everything that you’ve unknowingly taught me about the craft, sir. Master of transformation, versatility, something that inspired by you," he added.

For the unversed, Johnny Depp's career has suffered quite a bit in the last few years due to his involvement in the highly publicised legal proceedings against his former wife, Amber Heard.

Amber Heard had accused Johnny Depp of domestic violence. Depp ended up winning the defamation lawsuit against Heard and he has slowly been regaining composure professionally.

The actor is currently attending the film festival for his new film, 'Jeanne du Barry'.

The Red Sea Film Festival opening ceremony also saw the likes of Will Smith, Baz Luhrmann, and a host of other stars in attendance.

Last year, Sharon Stone's reaction to being seated next to Shah Rukh Khan had gone viral on social media.

On the work front, Ranveer Singh was last seen in 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' alongside Alia Bhatt. The movie directed by Karan Johar, turned out to be a huge hit at the box office.

The actor has 'Don 3' in the pipeline. The movie directed by Farhan Akhtar is expected to release in theatres in 2025.
