Watch: Shiv Thakare Says “Pehle Hoti Hai Insaaniyat” As He Slams Jiya Shankar For Mixing Hand Wash In Elvish Yadav’s Water
‘Bigg Boss 16’ fame Shiv Thakare recently reacted to ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’ contestant Jiya Shankar mixing hand wash in Elvish Yadav’s water.
Shiv Thakare, who won ‘Bigg Boss Marathi 2’, later participated in the Salman Khan-hosted reality show ‘Bigg Boss 16’. He was a part of ‘BB 16’ since its inception and emerged as one of the most popular contestants on the show, known for his fearless game. Apart from his strong game in ‘BB 16’ house, Shiv Thakare’s bond with his fellow contestants, Abdu Rozik, MC Stan, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia and Sumbul Touqeer Khan also became a highlight of the show. ‘BB 16’ ended with MC Stan walking away with the winner’s trophy and Shiv Thakare as the first runner-up.
‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’, which launched last month, has been enjoying a successful run. Recently, the captaincy task on the show took an ugly turn. YouTuber and wild card entrant Elvish Yadav was announced as the dictator of the house.
During the task, Elvish Yadav had ordered Jiya Shankar to get him a glass of water but the latter ended up mixing his water with hand wash. The ‘Ved’ fame received backlash from the host Salman Khan and social media users. Now, Shiv Thakare gave his two cents on the incident.

Shiv Thakare, who was spotted in Mumbai, had a quick chat with the paparazzi. While interacting with the paps, he was asked about the incident involving Jiya Shankar and Elvish Yadav. Commenting on it, he said that one shouldn't forget the humanity in quest for the ‘Bigg Boss’ trophy.
Shiv Thakare said, "Ek hota hai ki aap game kitna bhi khelo... aapko trophy zaruri hoti hai but itna mat khelo ki aap insaaniyat bhul jao. Mujhe pura cheez pata nahi hai but paani, khaana ye aisi cheez hai na ki hum ek baar apni trophy chod denge par wo paani ke waqt aur khaane ke waqt... ye game ke beech me nahi aana chahiye. To jisne kiya galat kiya.”
He added, “Ek hota hai ki trophy paise sab baad mein, pehle hoti hai insaaniyat. Mujhe lagta hai vahi sikhaya jata hai apne ko ki Bigg Boss me ja ke wo nahi bhulna chahiye.”
Besides Jiya Shankar and Elvish Yadav, the other contestants in the ‘BB OTT 2’ house include Pooja Bhatt, Bebika Dhurve, Abhishek Malhan, Avinash Sachdev, Manisha Rani, Jad Hadid, and Aashika Bhatia.
Coming back to Shiv Thakare, he first tasted success with his 'MTV Roadies Rising' stint back in 2017. He was part of Rannvijay Singha’s gang on the MTV reality show.
Shiv Thakare will be next seen in the Rohit Shetty-hosted reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 13’.
