Karan Johar's 'Love Storiyaan' has landed in trouble after the sixth episode has been banned in some countries.
Karan Johar's latest production venture 'Love Storiyaan', which released on Prime Video on the occasion of Valentine's Day 2024, has been garnering love from all corners, and netizens keep on giving their reactions on the six heartwarming tales of love. However, in the latest entertainment news, the new Hindi web series has landed in trouble after the sixth episode of 'Love Storiyaan' has been banned by some countries. Yes, you read that right. A report by Pinkvilla states that the sixth episode of 'Love Storiyaan' has been banned in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Indonesia and Egypt.
For the unversed, the episode in question features Tista and Dipan, a transgender couple residing in Kolkata. The episode tells the story of their love, which began during their gender transition surgeries.
The episode has been receiving love from all corners, however, it has now been banned by some countries.
Speaking of 'Love Storiyaan', the new Hindi web series takes inspiration from the tales highlighted on 'India Love Project', which was initiated by journalists like Priya Ramani, Samar Halarnkar, and Niloufer Venkatraman.
The new Hindi web series has been directed by six filmmakers -- Akshay Indikar, Archana Phadke, Collin D’Cunha, Hardik Mehta, Shazia Iqbal, and Vivek Soni.
The show premiered on Prime Video on February 14, and it has garnered positive reviews from critics as well.
Talking about Karan Johar, he has multiple production ventures lined up, including 'Yodha' (Sidharth Malhotra, Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna), 'Mr & Mrs Mahi' (Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor), 'Jigra' (Alia Bhatt) and 'Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam' (Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri).
Karan Johar's last directorial 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, released in cinemas in 2023 and the movie turned out to be a box office as it minted more than Rs 350 crore worldwide.
In India, the movie had made more than Rs 150 crore. Karan Johar, fondly known as KJo, is yet to deliver a box office flop. He has directed films like 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham', 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna', 'My Name Is Khan', 'Student of the Year', 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', and 'RRKPK'.
