The IPL 2023 opening ceremony was a star-studded affair and the likes of Arijit Sing, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Rashmika Mandanna entertained a crowd of more than 1 lakh spectators at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Arijit Singh performed for more than 25 minutes and he sang hit tracks like 'Jhoome Jo Pathaan', 'Kesariya', and 'Apna Bana Le'. Such is the popularity of Arijit that the crowd could not help themselves but hoot at all times during his performance.

The IPL 2023 opener was played between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings.
It was the defending champions Gujarat Titans that came out on top as the Hardik Pandya-led side chased down 179 in the final over of the game.
Earlier, it was Ruturaj Gaikwad, who entertained the capacity crowd as he played a knock of 92 runs off just 50 balls to help CSK post 178 runs on the board.
Chennai Super Kings will next square off against Lucknow Super Giants on Monday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
On the other hand, Gujarat Titans will next face off against Delhi Capitals on Tuesday at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
