Earlier, 'Adipurush' had collected Rs 37.25 crore and Rs 38 crore respectively on Friday and Saturday.

As per the makers, 'Adipurush' has grossed Rs 300 crore worldwide in the opening weekend.

On Sunday, 'Adipurush' makers had confirmed that they would be changing certain dialogues in the movie after receiving huge backlash.

The film is being called out for disrespecting the epic 'Ramayana'.

“Team Adipurush in respect of Public Opinion, Revamps Dialogues for a Unifying Film Experience valuing the input of the public and the audience. The dialogues are being modified in consultation & advice of CBFC," producers T-Series said in a statement.

Dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir Shukla also said that the new Hindi movie is not directly based on 'Ramayana', rather it is just inspired by it. His comment came after the movie faced severe criticism from all corners.

'Adipurush' which is based on the epic 'Ramayana' features Prabhas as Raghava, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan as Ravana.

The movie has reportedly been made on a budget of more than Rs 500 crore.
