'Adipurush' Box Office Report: Despite Reduction In Ticket Prices, Prabhas' Latest Offering Continues Its Downward Spiral
'Adipurush' box office report: The Om Raut-directorial collected just Rs 6 crore on Sunday (June 25), as per industry tracker Sacnilk.
After witnessing an underwhelming Week 1, the makers had high hopes from 'Adipurush' in the second weekend. However, it looks like, the Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan-starrer has exhausted its run at the domestic box office as the Om Raut-directorial collected just Rs 6 crore on Sunday (June 25), as per industry tracker Sacnilk.
'Adipurush', which is based on the epic 'Ramayana', had previously clocked an opening weekend of Rs 113 crore in just the Hindi version, but then the movie witnessed a drastic fall. Over the course of the second weekend, the new Hindi movie collected a mere Rs 14 crore, all India nett.
On its second Sunday, 'Adipurush' collected Rs 6 crore across all languages, of which its Hindi collections are reported to be around Rs 3.25 crore.
'Adipurush' all India nett collection now stands at Rs 274.55 crore and the lifetime Hindi collections are expected to finish below Rs 150 crore.
The makers have tried their best to boost ticket sales as they have already changed the controversial dialogues and also slashed the ticket prices twice.
The makers announced a further reduction in the prices with tickets now available at just Rs 112. The latest offer started from June 25, but it is safe to say, it has not boosted the ticket sales.
As a result, this is now the third consecutive flop for Prabhas after 'Radhe Shyam' and 'Saaho'. The actor has failed to repeat the box office success of his historic blockbuster 'Baahubali' which was directed by SS Rajamouli.
Prabhas will next be seen in 'Project K' also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani.
