'Adipurush' Box Office Report: Om Raut's Controversial Movie Continues To Struggle
After the weekend, 'Adipurush' has been on a free fall at the box office and things only got worse on Wednesday.
It looks like changing dialogues has done little to win over fans for Om Raut, Manoj Muntashir and their project 'Adipurush'. The new Hindi movie starring Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage is continuing its downward spiral at the Indian box office. The new Hindi movie collected just Rs 7.5 crore net across all languages domestically on Wednesday, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.
Out of the Rs 7.5 crore, the Hindi version gave Rs 4 crore to 'Adipurush', and now the total collection across India of the new Hindi movie stands at Rs 255.3 crore net (all languages). As per trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, the film’s net worldwide collection after six days stands at Rs 359.66 crore.

'Adipurush' has been in the middle of a controversy ever since its release on June 16. The fans have been taking offence to the dialogues handed out to characters of Bajrang and Lankesh. The movie has also been criticised for the poor VFX.
Amidst the backlash, the makers then decided to change certain dialogues in the movie. The new version is already out in the theatres. However, fans are not impressed with the changed dialogues as well.
In the movie, Prabhas is playing the role of Raghav, Kriti Sanon is playing Janaki while Saif Ali Khan is playing Lankesh.
