'Adipurush' Box Office Report: Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan-Starrer Slumps Further, Goes On Downward Spiral
'Adipurush' box office report: Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon has slumped further on Day 5.
Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage-starrer 'Adipurush' is on a downward spiral as the new Hindi movie slumped further on Day 5. The Om Raut-directorial which witnessed a drop of 75 per cent in box office collections on Monday, saw a further dip on Tuesday. On its first Tuesday, 'Adipurush' recorded a mere collection of Rs 10 crore all India net. The Hindi share was reported to be in the range of Rs 5-6 crore, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.
The Hindi occupancy was registered around 11.16 per cent on Tuesday. Producers T-Series have claimed that the new Hindi movie has till now grossed Rs 375 crore worldwide.
'Adipurush' has been made on a budget of more than Rs 500 crore, and it is yet to cross the Rs 400 crore gross mark worldwide.
As of now, 'Adipurush' is struggling to go past T-Series 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar' in the Hindi version, which had minted more than Rs 150 crore.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said that the "negative word of mouth" has come into play, and hence 'Adipurush' collapsed on Monday.
Earlier, All Indian Cine Workers Association had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, "demanding a ban" on 'Adipurush'.
In the letter, the association has also asked for a FIR to be registered against director Om Raut and dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir Shukla.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur had also said that no one has the right to hurt the sentiments of people. Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor has also demanded a temporary ban on the screening of the new Hindi movie, until the scenes and dialogues are re-examined.
