Bobby Deol revealed that he needed only one take to nail an important shot in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’.

Bobby Deol, known for his work in Hindi films, made his debut with the 1995 film ‘Barsaat’ and gained recognition for his roles in movies like ‘Soldier’, ‘Gupt’, ‘Humraaz’ and ‘Ajnabee’. Despite facing ups and downs in his career, he has managed to carve a niche for himself with diverse roles. Recently, Bobby Deol came into the limelight with his smashing performance in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s latest directorial venture ‘Animal’. In his brief appearance in the new Hindi movie, Bobby Deol dominated the film with his menacing portrayal of Abrar, who is mute.

One of his scenes from the new Hindi movie has gone viral on the internet. In an interview with iDream Media, Bobby Deol revealed how he approached the wedding scene.

For the unversed, in the wedding scene, Abrar (Bobby Deol) is informed that his brother has been killed by Ranbir Kapoor's character Ranvijay Singh. Disturbed by the news, he kills the messenger and proceeds to violate his three wives.

In his new interview with iDream Media, he revealed the trick that he used to bring out the necessary emotion in the pivotal wedding scene.

Bobby Deol said that the scene in which his character is informed about his brother’s death, he imagined losing his own brother and actor Sunny Deol.

He told iDream Media that he needed only one take to pull the shot off, after which director Sandeep Reddy Vanga praised him.

Bobby Deol said, “When I was doing the scene in the film, it was about a brother who has lost his brother… As actors, we use incidents in our lives to bring that emotion. We have a bank full of them. My brother means the world to me. When I was performing that scene, it was as if I’ve actually lost my brother. And that’s why, when I was emoting, it felt real.”

He continued, “That’s why everybody felt that moment. We didn’t do more than one take. In fact, Sandeep came up to me after that shot, and he was like, ‘Sir, this is an award-winning shot’. I was like, ‘Wow, thank you so much Sandeep, coming from you, it means a lot’.”

In an earlier interview, Bobby Deol revealed that his mother couldn’t handle the death of his character in ‘Animal’.

“My mom couldn’t handle my death scene. She was like, ‘Aisi film mat kiya kar tu, mujhse nahi dekha jaata’,” the actor told Pinkvilla.

Apart from Bobby Deol and Ranbir Kapoor, ‘Animal’ also features Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri and Shakti Kapoor.

The new Hindi movie, which released in theatres on December 1, has so far made Rs 445.12 crore in India.
