Director Om Raut's magnum-opus 'Adipurush', based on the epic 'Ramayana' is continuing with its disastrous fall at the domestic box office, and the new Hindi movie had a dismal second Monday. As per early estimates, the Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon-starrer collected just Rs 1.75 crore on Day 11 in the Hindi belt, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk. 'Adipurush' had collected Rs 113 crore nett in Hindi in its opening weekend, however, since then, it has been witnessing a freefall. The poor reviews and controversy over dialogues and VFX have led to the public not opting to see the new Hindi movie in the theatres.

On its second Monday, 'Adipurush' recorded an occupancy of around 8 per cent. 'Adipurush' all India total now stands at Rs 277 crore, and the movie is unlikely to walk away with a profit as the budget is reported to be around Rs 500 crore.

The new Hindi movie is likely to wrap up its Hindi lifetime collection with under Rs 150 crore, and hence 'Adipurush' will be emerging as a colossal flop at the box office.

As per a report in Money Control, 'Adipurush' could record an overall loss of Rs 200 crore.

“The film had the potential to do double the business it has done till now," Amit Sharma, Managing Director of Miraj Cinemas was quoted as saying.

'Adipurush' collections did not pick up even after the makers slashed the ticket prices to Rs 150 and then to Rs 112.

The movie is now the third consecutive flop for Prabhas after 'Radhe Shyam' and 'Saaho'.

The actor will next be seen in Prashanth Neel’s 'Salaar', and the movie is slated to release in the theatres in September 2023.

He also has 'Project K' in the pipeline which also stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan and Disha Patani.
