Complete List Of Old And New Lines After 'Adipurush' Dialogues Undergo Change
The controversial dialogues of 'Adipurush' have now been changed. What are these changes? Take a look for yourself.
Amid the growing controversy over 'Adipurush's dialogues, the makers have finally altered a few lines in the new Hindi movie. The new version of the movie is already being screened in the theatres, as per a report in The Indian Express. For the unversed, 'Adipurush' had released in the theatres on June 16, and director Om Raut and dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir faced scrutiny over questionable dialogues handed to characters of Lord Hanuman, and Ravana.
As per a report in Filminformation.com, the Central Board of Film Certification approved of the changes on June 19.
The official website CBFC website also lists 'Adipurush' as having been re-certified on June 19, after being initially cleared on June 12.
Here is the list of the original lines of 'Adipurush', and their new versions as accessed by Indian Express from Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) website:
1. 'Tu andar kaise ghusa… tu jaanta bhi hai kaun hoon main', has been replaced by, 'Tum andar kaise ghuse… tum jaante bhi ho kaun hoon main'.
2. 'Kapda tere baap ka… toh jalegi bhi tere baap ki', has been modified to, 'Kapda teri Lanka ka… toh jalegi bhi teri Lanka'.
3. 'Jo hamari behno… unki Lanka laga denge', has been replaced by, 'Jo hamari behno… unki Lanka mein aag laga denge'.
4. 'Mere ek sapole ne tumhare iss sheshnaag ko lamba kar diya… bhara pada hai', has been changed to, 'Mere ek sapole ne tumhare iss sheshnaag ko samapt kar diya… bhara pada hai'.
The backlash against the dialogues started on the day of 'Adipurush' release itself.
Amid the backlash, dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir Shukla told Aaj Tak that 'Adipurush' is not an adaptation of the 'Ramayana', rather it is "inspired" by it.
Later in the same day, he announced that the objectionable lines will be altered to honour the sentiments of the audience.
As of now, 'Adipurush' is struggling to go past T-Series 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar' in the Hindi version, which had minted more than Rs 150 crore.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said that the "negative word of mouth" has come into play, and hence 'Adipurush' collapsed on Monday.
Earlier, All Indian Cine Workers Association had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, "demanding a ban" on 'Adipurush'.
In the letter, the association has also asked for a FIR to be registered against director Om Raut and dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir Shukla.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur had also said that no one has the right to hurt the sentiments of people. Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor has also demanded a temporary ban on the screening of the new Hindi movie, until the scenes and dialogues are re-examined.
