'Adipurush' has become the second-highest grosser of 2023 in India.

'Adipurush' starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles had a fantastic start at the box office as the Hindi version collected more than Rs 100 crore within three days of its release. However, as per the latest Bollywood news, the fizz died down on the first Monday (June 19) as the new Hindi movie caught up with the negative reviews, and the collections are now dismal, to say the least. In the latest Bollywood movie news, the makers of the new Hindi movie decided to slash the ticket prices to just Rs 150 in order to boost sales, however, 'Adipurush' has not managed to see an upward trend in box office collections. Despite its downward spiral at the box office, Adirpurush has become the second-highest grossing Indian movie of 2023.

On the seventh day of its release (June 22), the movie based on the epic 'Ramayana' managed to collect just Rs 5.5 crore nett across all languages, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. In the latest Bollywood movie news, the Hindi collections dropped to just Rs 3.15 crore on Thursday.

'Adipurush' nett domestic collection now stands at Rs 260.55 crore across all languages, and hence the new Hindi movie has become the second-highest earner of 2023, going past 'The Kerala Story', starring Adah Sharma.

The top spot is still held by Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham-starrer 'Pathaan' which made Rs 543.05 crore in the domestic market.

As per trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, 'Adipurush’s nett worldwide collection stands at Rs 370.15 crore after seven days.

However, as per producers T-Series, the film has grossed Rs 410 crore worldwide. As per the latest Bollywood news, the movie has been made on a budget of Rs 500 crore.

Ever since its release on June 16, 'Adipurush' has been embroiled in one controversy after another. In the latest Bollywood news, the dialogues and visual effects faced backlash as soon as the film landed in theatres.

For the unversed, the makers of 'Adipurush' have altered a few objectionable dialogues.

There is just one major Hindi release this week -- '1920: Horrors of the Heart'. 'Adipurush' has a chance to change its fortunes around this week, however it looks highly unlikely, looking at the negative response it has been receiving ever since its release.'
