Hrithik Roshan's trainer Kris Gethin has spoken about the hard work that goes into cultivating a proper physique.

Hrithik Roshan is known as the 'Greek God' of Bollywood! The actor is possibly one of the fittest actors in the Hindi film industry, and no wonder, girls cannot stop drooling over him. The actor will next be seen in Siddharth Anand's 'Fighter', alongside Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor. The movie is slated to release in theatres on January 25, 2024, and ahead of the film's release, Hrithik Roshan's trainer Kris Gethin has spoken about the hard work that goes into cultivating the sort of physique that the actor has.

For the unversed, Kris Gethin has been working with Hrithik Roshan for more than a decade.

In an interview with India Today, the trainer spoke about how Hrithik Roshan has certain genetic gifts, but it is primarily his discipline and dedication that gets him looking like he does.

“I like to work with people who are genuinely nice and authentic, and he’s definitely one of those people. He’s very intuitive, very high IQ. He knows what works for him, what doesn’t work for him. For Fighter, his day would usually start at 5 or 6 am… By 6 he’s eating his breakfast, and then we’re hitting the gym probably 45 minutes after that," said Kris Gethin.

"The workouts don’t take longer than an hour. It’s very short and intense, but very, very difficult. If you can train more than an hour, you’re not training hard enough. It’s usually five days a week of weight training, depending on the sleep schedule. If the sleep is good, five days, if the sleep isn’t good, it would be four days, because recovery enhances the performance… He’ll do cardio once a day, sometimes twice a day, depending on how far we are in the process of what he’s got to look like. Cardio could be anything from running, StairMaster, elliptical, swimming… And it’s lights out by 9. In bed, no later than that," he added.

Hrithik's trainer then said that the actor has six or seven meals a day.

“If he can’t eat them, he’s drinking them in the form of a shake. But it’s usually whole foods. It’s a very body-building-esque diet, kind of boring and bland. But luckily, his chef Shubham is very, very good at spicing things up. He would make an egg white burger, where the burger would be chicken breast, but the bun was made out of fluffy egg whites," said the trainer.

"How he does it, I have no idea. He would add an Indianised taste to it as well, but a lot of it was single-form ingredients like chicken, egg whites, whey protein, fish, along with oats and quinoa, or rice and sweet potato," he added.

Further speaking about it, the trainer said, "But you can’t compare yourself to Hrithik. He’s got very full muscle bellies, tiny joints. He’s got good genetics. Not everybody is going to have his shape abs, or his shape pecs. You’ve just got to be the better version of yourself. Just like we don’t have the same personalities or characteristics, you don’t have to emulate someone’s physique."

Recently, Hrithik Roshan had turned 50, and he received wishes from the likes of girlfriend Saba Azad, father Rakesh Roshan, mother Pinkie Roshan, actors Anil Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, and more.
