Veteran actor Paresh Rawal recently stunned the world by announcing his departure from ‘Hera Pheri 3’. After signing the film, the veteran actor left everyone shocked after exiting the project, which is slated to be directed by Priyadarshan. Comedian and actor Johnny Lever has now reacted to the development, saying Paresh Rawal should reconsider his decision and return back to the uber-popular franchise, co-starring Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty. Johnny Lever, who is gearing up for the release of ‘Housefull 5’, spoke to Times Now about the news.

“Mujhe lagta hai ki kar lena chahiye unko film, baithke baat karein, matter solve karein kyunki fans bohut miss karenge Paresh ji ko film mein, maza nahi aayega na waisa unke bina. To baat karke solve karlena chahiye, meri nazar mein to yahi sahi hai,” he told Times Now.

Earlier, there were rumours that Paresh Rawal left the franchise over creative differences. However, he dismissed these rumours by tweeting, “I wish to put it on record that my decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. I REITERATE THAT THERE ARE NO CREATIVE DISAGREEMENT WITH THE FILM MAKER . I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Mr. Priyadarshan the film director.”

As per several reports, Akshay Kumar’s production banner, Cape of Good Films, sent a Rs 25 crore legal notice to Paresh Rawal for walking out of the film after signing a contract and beginning shoot. The notice accused Paresh Rawal of “grossly unprofessional conduct”.

In response to the same, Paresh Rawal tweeted, “My lawyer, Ameet Naik, has sent an appropriate response regarding my rightful termination and exit. Once they read my response, all issues will be laid to rest.”

Reportedly, Paresh Rawal has already returned the signing amount with 15 per cent interest.

The ‘Hera Pheri’ franchise began in 2000 and quickly turned into a cult comedy classic thanks to its hilarious dialogues and iconic trio. The second film, ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ (2006), though not as critically loved, was a commercial hit.

‘Hera Pheri’, directed by Priyadarshan, was a remake of 1989 Malayalam film ‘Ramji Rao Speaking’. The plot revolved around two tenants, Raju and Shyam and a landlord Baburao, in desperate need of money and how they chance upon a ransom call via a cross connection. They hatch a plan to claim the ransom for themselves.

The plot of ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ revolved around how a twist changes the fortunes of the lead characters when they get cheated by a fraudster named Anuradha.

In the movies, Akshay Kumar played Raju, Suniel Shetty played Ghanshyam, while Paresh Rawal Rawal played Babu Rao.
