Will Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon's 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' Make More Money Than 'SatyaPrem Ki Katha' and 'RRKPK' On Day 1

Valentine's Day is coming, and fans of the rom-com genre can look forward to Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's upcoming Hindi film titled 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya'. The new Hindi movie is slated to release in theatres on February 9, and ahead of the release, there is quite a good buzz surrounding the film as the trailer and songs have landed well, and have met with praise from all corners. In the latest Bollywood box office news, the makers announced that the advance booking for the film has begun. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' has so far sold 26,707 tickets for Day 1, grossing Rs 54.73 lakh.
As per the latest Bollywood box office news, it needs to be seen whether the film manages to register a double-digit opening on Day 1. The Hindi film industry is in search of its first hit in 2024 after Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone-starrer 'Fighter' performed below everyone's expectations.
Pinkvilla journalist Himesh Mankad also shared that 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' had sold more than 5,000 tickets till Wednesday, 10 am, across three national cinema chains (PVR, INOX and Cinepolis).

For the unversed, 'SatyaPrem Ki Katha' (Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani) and Rocky And Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' (Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh) had opened to a collection of Rs 9.25 crore and Rs 11.10 crore respectively, and it needs to be seen whether 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' manages to make more money on Day 1 than these two movies.
Earlier, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's film was supposed to release on December 7, 2023. However, it was then postponed to February 2024. This decision might have been taken in light of the packed December 2023 release schedule.
The new Hindi movie is being produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar. The romantic film is written and directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah.
On the work front, Shahid Kapoor was last seen in Jio Cinema's ‘Bloody Daddy’. The movie was directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
Kriti Sanon, on the other hand, last starred in ‘Adipurush’, which also featured Saif Ali Khan, Devdatta Nage, Prabhas, and Sunny Singh.
