"I Will Die": Vivek Agnihotri's Response On Possibly Casting Kangana Ranaut, Alia Bhatt Together In A Film
'The Vaccine War' director Vivek Agnihotri opened up on casting actresses Kangana Ranaut and Alia Bhatt together in a film.
Director Vivek Agnihotri has been busy off late in promoting his recent release 'The Vaccine War'. The new Hindi movie which released in theatres on September 28, has received mixed reviews from critics, and at the box office, it has not managed to even go past the Rs 10 crore mark yet. In the latest entertainment news, the director opened up on casting actresses Kangana Ranaut and Alia Bhatt in a film together.
“Can Vivek Agnihotri get Alia and Kangana to do a film together?" journalist Siddharth Kannan asked.
To this, he replied, "If I start thinking like this, I will die. Who thinks like this and who can even think like this? Alia Bhatt won the National Award, she is an actor of India, who was honoured by the Government of India. Even I got a National Award that time. When Kangana won the National Award, I congratulated her too.”
When asked about casting them together, Vivek Agnihotri said, "I bring two people together? What do I have to do with their lives? I don’t have any such hobbies. I don’t have any emotional connection towards anyone. I am the most detached person.”
Vivek Agnihotri also praised Alia Bhatt for coming up to meet him during an awards ceremony.
“I love the way she came and met me," said Agnihotri.
Quite often in the past, Kangana Ranaut has taken a dig at Alia Bhatt and her husband Ranbir Kapoor. However, Kangana Ranaut had also praised Alia Bhatt for her role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'.
Talking about Kangana Ranaut, the actress will next be seen in 'Tejas', which is slated to release in theatres on October 27, 2023. She will also be seen in 'Emergency', which is based on the life of former India Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi.
Speaking of Alia Bhatt, she was last seen in Karan Johar's 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', alongside Ranveer Singh, Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi.
She will next be seen in Vasan Bala's 'Jigra', slated to release in theatres on September 27, 2024.
