Yash Begins Shooting For Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana'. See Pics
Yash, who will play Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari's much-awaited film series 'Ramayana', has finally started shooting for the project.
Indian superstar Yash, who’s set to portray the mighty Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari’s much-anticipated ‘Ramayana’, has officially started shooting for the epic saga. Behind-the-scenes photos from the sets have gone viral, capturing the actor deep in discussion with legendary Hollywood stunt director Guy Norris, renowned for action blockbusters like ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ and ‘The Suicide Squad’. Yash, known for his intense screen presence, looks every bit the fierce villain in his ripped, brooding avatar, setting the tone for what promises to be a visually stunning cinematic experience.
For the unversed, Guy Norris is currently in India as he setting up high-octane action sequences for the franchise, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita.
As per the Indian Express, Yash is slated to shoot for 60-70 days for 'Ramayana: Part 1'.

As per reports, Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi have already completed shooting for the first part of the franchise. The film also stars Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Arun Govil as Raja Dashrat and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.
The first part of ‘Ramayana’ will release in cinemas on Diwali 2026, while the second part will hit theatres on Diwali 2027.
Earlier, pictures from the sets of ‘Ramayana’ had surfaced online, in which Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi were seen dressed as Lord Ram and Sita, respectively. In other pictures, Arun Govil and Lara Dutta were also seen dressed in ethnic outfits.
‘KGF’ star Yash had earlier confirmed that he is playing the role of Ravana in the epic.
Speaking to Hollywood Reporter India, Yash said, “It’s a very fascinating character. I wouldn’t have done it for any other reason. In Ramayana, if you had asked me, ‘Would you play any other character?’ Probably not."
"For me, Ravan is the most exciting character to play as an actor so I really like the shades and the nuances of particular character. There’s vast scope to present it in a very different way. As an actor, I am very excited. Hopefully, it’s going to be a very unique approach to it," he added.
