Shekhar Suman has now reacted to Priyanka Chopra’s sensational revelation.

Priyanka Chopra sent fans into a tizzy earlier this week after she revealed the exact reasons behind moving away from Bollywood to the West. She said that she had “beef with some people” and was tired of the politics. Ever since then, reactions have been coming in, with the likes of Kangana Ranaut, Vivek Agnihotri, Amaal Malik and Apurva Asrani all weighing in. Now, Shekhar Suman has also reacted to the same, and he posted a series of tweets, saying the revelations are not "shocking".

"Priyanka Chopra's sensational revelation has not come as a shocker. It is well known the way the cabal within the film industry  functions. It will oppress, suppress and persecute you  till you are finished. It happened with SSR," Shekhar Suman tweeted.

In another tweet, he said: "It will happen to others too. That's the way the cookie crumbles in the industry. Take it or leave it and Priyanka decided to leave and thank God she did, for now we have a true-blue global icon representing India in Hollywood. As they say every cloud has a silver lining."

Speaking to Dax Shepherd on his podcast Armchair Expert, Priyanka Chopra Jonas said that she was tired of politics in Bollywood, and she had a beef with some people within the industry.

“I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break," said Priyanka Chopra.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas' next project 'Citadel' also stars Richard Madden in the lead role. The show will start airing on Amazon Prime Video from April 28.

Apart from 'Citadel', the actress will also be seen in Hollywood project 'Love Again'.

The actress is also expected to return to Bollywood with 'Jee Le Zara'. The new Hindi Bollywood movie will be directed by Farhan Akhtar and it also stars Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
