'Fighter' is estimated to have jumped by over 70 per cent on Day 2. As per Sacnilk, the film reported a 41 per cent occupancy for the 2D version and 42 per cent occupancy for the 3D version on Friday.
The film will now be looking to enter the Rs 100 crore club by Sunday. It is looking like that 'Fighter' will register a domestic opening weekend of almost Rs 120-150 crore.
The Siddharth Anand-directorial has recorded a good advance booking for the third day of its release. As per Sacnilk, the new Hindi film 'Fighter' has sold 2,90,796 tickets for Day 3, grossing Rs 9.28 crore.
For the uninitiated, 'Fighter' which was released in cinemas on Thursday, opened to favourable reviews from both critics and audiences. Special praise has been coming in for Siddharth's direction and the acting performances of Hrithik, Deepika, and Anil Kapoor.
‘Fighter’, presented by Viacom18 Studios in association with Marflix Pictures, is the third collaboration between Hrithik Roshan and Siddharth Anand after ‘Bang Bang’ and ‘War’. The new Hindi movie is also the third collaboration between Deepika Padukone and Siddharth Anand after ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ and ‘Pathaan’.
Earlier, Siddharth Anand admitted that the success of ‘Pathaan’, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, has set the bar too high for him and he is indeed feeling the “pressure of the expectations” from his audience.
Hrithik Roshan's 'Vikram Vedha' had a lifetime collection of around Rs 80 crore, and 'Fighter' will fly past this amount by the end of the opening weekend.
