The Independence Day weekend witnessed two highly anticipated releases – ‘War 2’ and ‘Coolie’ –expected to ignite the box office. Instead, both films have delivered underwhelming performances despite the massive buzz around them. While the big-ticket projects are inching towards the Rs 200 crore mark at the domestic box office, industry watchers and die-hard fans alike recognize that the figure isn’t particularly impressive given the colossal budgets, star power, and scale attached to these ventures. The response has left many surprised.
