Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan and Jyotika-starrer 'Shaitaan' is recording a sensational run at the box office.

Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Jyotika-starrer 'Shaitaan', which was released in cinemas on Friday (March 8), is recording a sensational run at the box office. In the latest entertainment news, the new Hindi movie which has been directed by Vikas Bahl, minted Rs 19.18 crore on Saturday, which was the second day of its release. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the two-day nett domestic collection of 'Shaitaan' now stands at Rs 34.39 crore. 

'Shaitaan' had an overall 33.65 per cent Hindi occupancy on Saturday, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. 

On Saturday evening, trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed that Mumbai has allocated late-night shows for 'Shaitaan', considering the huge demand. 

"LATEST DEVELOPMENT… #Shaitaan midnight shows [11.55 pm] added in #Mumbai today… And the response is (fire emoji," wrote Taran Adarsh on X. 

As per Sacnilk, Ajay Devgn's 'Shaitaan' has managed to sell 2,28,148 tickets for Sunday, grossing Rs 5.50 crore. It is important to mention that the advance booking for Day 3 is higher than for Day 1 and Day 2. 

It can be said that 'Shaitaan' will be going past the Rs 50 crore mark on Sunday, and it just needs to be seen how many days the movie takes to breach the Rs 100 crore mark in India.

Sidharth Malhotra, Raashii Khanna, and Disha Patani's 'Yodha' is slated to release in cinemas on March 15, and hence 'Shaitaan' needs to make the most of the coming weekdays.

'Shaitaan' has been produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak under the banners of Devgn Films, Jio Studios, and Panorama Studios. The plot of the film revolves around a happy family and how their lives take a turn for the worse after meeting a mysterious man.

Speaking of Yami Gautam and Priyamani's 'Article 370', which released in cinemas on February 23, minted Rs 2.65 crore on Saturday, which was the 16th day of its release. As per Sacnilk, the total nett domestic collection of the new Hindi movie now stands at Rs 62.20 crore. 

On the other hand, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' also continues to mint money at a slow and steady pace. As per Sacnilk, the Hindi film which was released on February 9, has so far collected Rs 82.25 crore in India, as per Sacnilk.
