Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon's 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' Mints Rs 26.85 Crore On Opening Weekend
Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon-starrer 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' witnessed good growth over the weekend, and registered a decent three-day total.
Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s first collaboration together, 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya', released in cinemas on Friday (February 9). The new Hindi movie witnessed good growth over the weekend, and hence the film has registered a decent three-day total. After a decent start at the box office with a collection of more than Rs 6 crore on the opening day, 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' collected Rs 10.50 crore (as per early estimates posted by industry tracker Sacnilk) on Sunday, which was the third day of its release.
As per Sacnilk, the total nett domestic collection of 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' now stands at Rs 26.85 crore. The film had an overall 24.65 per cent occupancy on Sunday. Speaking of the worldwide collection, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's film has gone past the Rs 50 crore mark.

For the unversed, 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' also stars Dharmendra, Dimple Kapadia, and Rakesh Bedi in pivotal roles. The film has been directed by debut directors Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah. The new Hindi movie has been produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar.
'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' has already gone past the lifetime collection of Shahid Kapoor's previous theatrical release -- 'Jersey'. The 2022 film had collected Rs 19.68 crore in India.
The new Hindi movie has also gone past the lifetime collection of Kriti Sanon's previous release -- 'Ganapath', which also starred Tiger Shroff and Amitabh Bachchan.
In 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya', Shahid plays the role of a scientist, who ends up falling in love with Kriti's robot character, SIFRA, whose name stands for “Super Intelligent Female Robot Automation.”
Talking about Siddharth Anand's 'Fighter', which was released in cinemas on January 25, minted Rs 4 crore on Sunday, which was the 18th day of its release. The total nett collection of 'Fighter' now stands at Rs 196.90 crore, as per Sacnilk.
Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor will next be seen in 'Deva' alongside Pooja Hegde. On the other hand, Kriti Sanon will next be seen in 'The Crew', alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kapil Sharma.
'The Crew' is slated to release in cinemas on March 29, 2024.
