Despite opening to mixed reviews, the new Hindi movie is managing to hold its own at the box office. After collecting more than Rs 26 crore in its opening weekend, ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ managed to stay steady on its first Monday. As per early estimates posted by industry tracker Sacnilk, the film minted Rs 3.75 crore on the fourth day of its release.
After collecting nearly Rs 4 crore on its first Monday, the total nett domestic collection of 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' now stands at Rs 30.85 crore. Globally, 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' has already gone past the Rs 60 crore mark.
On Monday, the makers of the new Hindi movie announced that there would be a ‘buy one get one’ offer on leading movie ticketing websites for February 14th, which happens to be Valentine's Day.
This offer might boost the ticket sales of the film on Wednesday. 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' is looking to register an opening week collection of Rs 40 crore. The second weekend would indicate whether the film manages to go past the Rs 50 crore mark in India or not.
For the unversed, 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' has received mixed reviews from critics, and the makers have also left room for a second installment.
'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' also stars Dharmendra, Dimple Kapadia, and Rakesh Bedi in pivotal roles. The film has been helmed by debut directors Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah. The new Hindi movie has been produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar.
'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' has already gone past the lifetime collection of Shahid Kapoor's previous theatrical release -- 'Jersey'. The 2022 film had collected Rs 19.68 crore in India.
In 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya', Shahid plays the role of a scientist, who ends up falling in love with Kriti's robot character, SIFRA, whose name stands for “Super Intelligent Female Robot Automation.”
Meanwhile, Siddharth Anand's 'Fighter', starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor, minted Rs 1.20 crore on Monday, which was the 19th day of its release. The total nett collection of 'Fighter' now stands at Rs 198.10 crore, as per Sacnilk.
