Valentine's Day Gives Boost To Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon's ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, Film Goes Past Rs 40 Crore In India
‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ benefitted from Valentine's Day 2024 as the film saw a massive spike in collections.
Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon-starrer ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ is managing to hold its own at the domestic box office and the film received a massive boost owing to Valentine's Day 2024. The new Hindi movie witnessed a massive surge in its box office figures on Wednesday, which was the sixth day of its release. Going by the current trajectory, it looks highly likely that ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ will soon be going past the Rs 50 crore mark at the domestic box office.
On Wednesday, ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ minted Rs 6.75 crore, as per industry tracker Sacnilk, and now the total nett domestic collection of the film stands at Rs 41.35 crore.
Earlier, the makers of ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ had announced a buy-one-get-one offer for Valentine's Day, and it is safe to say that this scheme worked wonders for the film at the box office.
'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' has been directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah. The new Hindi movie opened to mixed reviews from critics, and the makers have left room for a second installment. 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' also stars Dharmendra, Dimple Kapadia, and Rakesh Bedi in pivotal roles.
The new Hindi movie has been produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar. In 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya', Shahid plays the role of a scientist, who ends up falling in love with Kriti's robot character, SIFRA, whose name stands for “Super Intelligent Female Robot Automation.”
The film has already gone past the lifetime collection of Shahid Kapoor's previous theatrical release 'Jersey' and Kriti Sanon's 'Ganapath'.
Meanwhile, Siddharth Anand's 'Fighter', starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, which released in cinemas on Janaury 25, minted Rs 1.75 crore on Wednesday.
As a result, the total nett domestic collection of 'Fighter' now stands at Rs 200.90 crore. With this, 'Fighter' has become the first Hindi film of 2024 to go past the Rs 200 crore mark in India.
