The GQ Best Dressed Awards took place in Mumbai's St Regis hotel recently and saw several celebrities in attendance. Bollywood stars turned up in their stylish best, taking the fashion quotient many notches higher. While the evening saw moments of sequin, sparkle and pops of colour, the safe bet of black was a staple at the red carpet. From Saiee Manjrekar to Fatima Sana Shaikh, many divas picked the shade in various silhouettes. Shruti Haasan brought her fashion A-game to the event, wearing a sheer black gown.

Shruti Haasan flaunted her toned figure in the see-through black gown, which came with solid coloured shoulder pads.
She also wore a bustier and a skirt underneath the sheer gown. She accessorised her black gown with a pair of huge earrings, bracelet, and a statement ring.
For her makeup, she went with well-defined eyebrows, subtle eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara on the lashes, blushed cheekbones, highlighter, light contouring and a black lipstick. Yes, you read that right! A black lip shade and she completely pulled it off!
She also sported black nails, which went perfectly well with her matching gown and lipstick. Shruti Haasan styled her tresses in voluminous curls with a side parting.
Shruti Haasan’s boyfriend Santanu Hazarika also accompanied her at the event. He wore black casuals and a long overcoat.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shruti Haasan will next be seen in 'Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire' alongside Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The movie has been directed by Prashanth Neel.
Earlier, 'Salaar' was slated to release on September 28, but the makers recently confirmed the postponement of the movie.
Earlier this year, Shruti Haasan was seen in two Telugu hits -- ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ in which she featured opposite Nadamuri Balakrishna, and ‘Waltair Veerayya’, which featured her alongside Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja.
