"Looks Like An Idiot But...": SS Rajamouli's Unique Praise For Prabhas Ahead Of 'Salaar' Release
SS Rajamouli said that Prabhas might come across as someone who doesn’t understand, but in reality, he is shrewd.
It was SS Rajamouli's 'Baahubali' series that made Prabhas an overnight pan-India sensation. The actor's few films after 'Baahubali' might have flopped at the box office, but the superstar still enjoys a massive fan following across India. In the latest entertainment news, SS Rajamouli recently interviewed Prashanth Neel, Prabhas, and Prithviraj Sukumar about their upcoming release 'Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire', which will be releasing in theatres on December 22.
During this interaction, Rajamouli said that Prabhas might come across as someone who doesn’t understand, but in reality, he is shrewd.
"When the hero says whatever I have written is fantastic, I go back and wonder whether this is enough. That’s the worst part of working with Prabhas," said Prashanth Neel.
“I made a statement about Prabhas in Telugu. It loosely translates into, ‘Prabhas is a person who looks like an idiot but he is absolutely shrewd," said SS Rajamouli.
Prithviraj Sukumaran then agreed with SS Rajamouli, and said, "It is true that he makes us believe that he doesn’t know anything, but that is not the case.”
Prithviraj Sukumaran also agreed with SS Rajamouli that Prabhas is a blessed actor as he has a very emotive face.
“The rest of us all have to perform and try, but he just has to stand there and do nothing. I told the same thing to him on the first day of the shoot," said Prithviraj.
As per industry tracker Sacnilk, 'Salaar' has so far sold 16,156,630 tickets across India, grossing a massive Rs 33.84 crore already.
The Telugu version is registering the maximum amount of sales and so far, 12,53,439 tickets have been sold in this version. In the Malayalam version, 'Salaar' has sold 1,16,884 tickets.
