Yash To Play Role Of Lord Hanuman In Prasanth Varma’s ‘Jai Hanuman’? His Team Spills The Beans
There were rumours that Yash will feature in Prasanth Varma’s upcoming movie ‘Jai Hanuman’. Here’s what the actor’s team said.
Kannada actor Yash gained widespread recognition for his role as Rocky after the massive success of Prashanth Neel’s directorial ventures ‘KGF: Chapter 1’ and ‘KGF: Chapter 2’. Fans have been eagerly waiting to see Yash back on the silver screen and rumours are rife that he may play the role of Lord Hanuman in Prasanth Varma’s ‘Jai Hanuman’. The upcoming film is a sequel to the Teja Sajja-starrer ‘HanuMan’, which released in January 2024 and is currently running in theatres.
However, Yash’s team has denied these claims in a recent interview to India Today. The media portal stated that a source from Yash’s team said that the reports are “baseless and false”.
Speaking about the rumours of Yash playing the role of Lord Hanuman, the source told India Today, “There is no truth to the reports, he is not considering any such role. Rocking Star Yash puts a lot of time and consideration into each film he chooses to do, and right now he is completely consumed with ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’.”
For those unversed, ‘HanuMan’ emerged as one of the biggest successes of 2024. The film clashed with Mahesh Babu and Sreeleela’s ‘Guntur Kaaram’, Venkatesh, Shraddha Srinath and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s ‘Saindhav’ and Nagarjuna and Ashika Ranganath’s ‘Naa Saami Ranga’ at the box office and managed to hold its own.
Coming back to Yash, there have also been reports suggesting that he has given his nod to play Ravan in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’. The film is said to star Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita. The film’s team and the actors are yet to make an official announcement about the same.
Currently, Yash is pre-occupied with his upcoming film ‘Toxic’. The film is slated for release in theatres on April 10, 2025. The actor, who has been a creative producer for all his films, has also turned co-producer for ‘Toxic’.
Yash will be releasing the film under his banner Monster Mind Creations along with KVN Productions. ‘Toxic’ is expected to be mounted on a massive scale. The announcement video of the upcoming film has already created a lot of buzz.
Yash was last seen in Prashanth Neel’s ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, where he reprised his role as Rocky Bhai.
