Anushka Sharma’s attendance at the popular film festival was confirmed by French Ambassador to India, Emmanuel Lenain, who stated that he had met with Anushka Sharma and her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli ahead of her trip.
Emmanuel Lenain took to his Twitter handle and dropped a picture with Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. He wrote alongside the picture, “A pleasure meeting @imVkohli and @AnushkaSharma. The Bollywood actress happens to be a brand ambassador of the cosmetic giant L'Oreal and will most likely be representing the brand at the film festival.
Prior to Anushka Sharma’s debut at Cannes, Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor and other Indian celebrities have walked the red carpet at the prestigious film festival.
The Festival de Cannes aka The Cannes Film Festival is held annually in Cannes, France. First held in 1946, the prestigious festival previews upcoming films of all genres, including documentaries, from all around the world.
