Clash Of The Titans! Prabhas' 'Salaar' To Release On Same Date As SRK's 'Dunki'
It will be a monstrous clash at the domestic box office as Prabhas’ 'Salaar' is releasing on the same day as Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Dunki'.
2023 has been a monumental year when it comes to Indian movies. Films such as 'Pathaan', 'Gadar 2', 'Jawan', 'Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2', and 'Jailer' have all done great business at the box office, and with 'Tiger 3', 'Animal', and 'Dunki' on the way, the year is poised to conclude on a happy note. Prabhas' 'Salaar' was also expected to rake in the moolah but the release date was recently postponed. Earlier, the Prashanth Neel directorial was slated to release on September 28.
As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the makers of 'Salaar' have now narrowed down on the new release date, and it is December 22, 2023. Yes, you read that right! This is the same release date as Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki'.
So, brace yourselves for probably the biggest box office clash in years when it comes to Indian cinema because it’s going to be ‘Salaar’ vs ‘Dunki’.

"This is the SECOND TIME #HombaleFilms is clashing with #SRK… In 2018 [#Christmas], it was #Zero vs #KGF [first part]. SRK had already blocked #Christmas [22 Dec 2023] for #Dunki… And now #Prabhas also stakes claim on 22 Dec 2023," he added.

On Monday evening, 'Salaar' director Prashanth Neel's wife Likitha Reddy posted an Instagram Story, which read, "December 2023 will never be the same. #CantWait."
This is the not first time that production house Hombale Films are going up against SRK. In 2018, Hombale Films' 'KGF: Chapter 1' had clashed with SRK's 'Zero', and it was the former that emerged as a massive success.
SRK took a break after his 2018 film ‘Zero’ tanked at the box office and made a comeback in 2023 with ‘Pathaan’. His latest release was ‘Jawan’ and both his movies has proven to be box office success stories.
Talking about 'Salaar', the movie has been directed by Prashanth Neel, and it features Prabas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Ramachandra Raju, Sriya Reddy, Easwari Rao, among others.
On the other hand, 'Dunki' has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani, who is known for projects like 'MunnaBhai MBBS', 'Lage Raho MunnaBhai', '3 Idiots', 'PK', and 'Sanju'.
Rajkumar Hirani is yet to deliver a flop at the box office. Apart from SRK, 'Dunki' also stars Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani and Vicky Kaushal.
