From 'Salaar' To 'Animal': What To Watch On OTT In Coming Week

This week fans will be spoilt for choices as there are many big-name things to watch on OTT platforms.

It is a star-studded affair on OTT platforms and several big-budgeted movies such as 'Salaar: Part One - Ceasefire' and 'Animal' can be watched on the streaming platforms in the upcoming week. Ranbir Kapoor's Animal', directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol, will be released on Netflix on January 26. On the other hand, Prashanth Neel's 'Salaar: Part One - Ceasefire', starring Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan, started streaming on Netflix on January 20. The movie is available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. 

Raveena Tandon's web series 'Karmma Calling' will also be available on Disney+ Hotstar from January 26.

Here is the list of shows and movies you can watch on OTT this week:

1. Salaar (Netflix) 

'Salaar' is about a fictional city of Khansaar where a civil war breaks out between two tribes for the throne. A ceasefire is then announced, and it forces the competitors to stop killing each other. It is then that Raja Vardha Mannar (Prithviraj) calls for help from his childhood friend Deva (Prabhas), and the entire sequence of events ends up changing in his favour. 

The movie has made more than Rs 410 crore at the box office, and you can watch this mega spectacle now on Netflix.

2. Animal (Netflix)

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal' starring Ranbir Kapoor was the most polarising movie of 2023, and it was bashed severely for portraying toxic masculinity. However, the film went on to make more than Rs 500 crore at the Indian box office. The movie will start streaming on Netflix on January 26, and it will be an extended cut.

The theatrical version of Animal was 3 hours and 21 minutes long and as per several reports, the OTT version will be 3 hours and 29 minutes long, and the deleted scenes, which are added to the extended cut, feature Rashmika Mandanna's character Geetanjali Singh.

3. Karmma Calling (Disney+ Hotstar)

Raveena Tandon's second web series will start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The new Hindi web series also stars Varun Sood, Vikramjeet Virk, Viraf Patel, Rohit Roy, and Amy Aela.

4. Griselda (Netflix)

The Sofia Vergara-starrer series will be releasing on Netflix on January 25. The series is based on the life of Griselda Blanco, a notorious drug trader. The star cast of the series also includes Alberto Guerra, Martin Rodriguez, Vanessa Ferlito and Christian Tappan.

5. True Detective Season 4 (JioCinema)

The fourth season of the much-loved HBO series premiered on JioCinema on January 15 in India. New episodes arrive every Monday. The season stars Jodie Foster and Kali Reis as detectives Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro. The latest season is set in the fictional town of Ennis, Alaska, and the plot follows the investigation behind the disappearance of eight men from a research station.
