'Gadar 2' Teaser: Sunny Deol Is Back With Vengeance, Iss Baar "Dahej Me Lahore Le Jayega"
'Gadar 2' teaser: Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel are back as Tara Singh and Sakina.
The much-awaited teaser of 'Gadar 2' starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel is finally out. The movie will take the events forward from what transpired in the previous installment that had released in 2001. The Anil Sharma-directorial was set during the partition of India and the plot revolved around Tara Singh, portrayed by Sunny Deol, falling in love with Sakina played by Ameesha Patel.
In the original, Sunny Deol played a Sikh truck driver from Amritsar while Ameesha Patel portrayed the role of a Muslim girl hailing from a political family in Lahore, Pakistan.
The teaser of 'Gadar 2' starts off with a woman saying: "Damaad hai wo Pakistan ka, usse nariyal do, tikaa lagao warna iss baar wo dahej me lahore le jayega."
Then we get a glimpse into a Crush India Movement going on in Pakistan in 1971. As the protests are going on, we get a glimpse into the character of Sunny Deol with the graphic saying: "Tara Singh is back."

'Gadar 2' is slated to release in the theatres on August 11, 2023. The movie will be going up against Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' and Akshay Kumar's 'OMG 2'.
Ahead of 'Gadar 2' teaser launch, the original movie had re-released in the theatres on June 9.
