An air force officer has sent a legal notice to the makers of 'Fighter' over the kissing scene between Hrithik and Deepika.

Siddharth Anand's 'Fighter', starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, released in theatres on January 25, 2024, and fans have been talking about the underwhelming box office performance of the film. However, in the latest entertainment news, an Indian Air Force (IAF) officer has filed a legal notice against the makers of the film, and it relates to the kissing scene between Hrithik and Deepika towards the end of the film. As per India Today, the notice has been issued against the makers by an Air Force officer from Assam, Saumya Deep Das. As per the latest entertainment news, the person has claimed that the kissing scene was an insult to the IAF.

For the unversed, the last scene of 'Fighter', before the end credits song, shows the characters of Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan, kissing while they are dressed in the Air Force uniform.

'Fighter' revolves around a team of air force pilots, led by Anil Kapoor's character. Patty (Roshan) and Mini (Deepika Padukone) are two of the pilots in the team, and as the events progress ahead in the film, the duo ends up falling in love.

The movie is loosely based on the 2019 Pulwama attack.

As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the Day 12 collection of ‘Fighter’ was Rs 3.35 crore, and hence the total nett domestic collection now stands at Rs 178.60 crore.

It looks unlikely that the new Hindi movie will manage to go past the Rs 200 crore mark, considering Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ is slated to release in cinemas on Friday, February 9.

Globally, 'Fighter' has managed to go past the Rs 300 crore mark. For the unversed, Hrithik Roshan and Siddharth Anand have a strong track record. They delivered a blockbuster in the form of ‘War’ in 2019 as it made more than Rs 315 crore at the domestic box office.

Their 2014 collaboration in the form of ‘Bang Bang’ also turned out to be successful as it made more than Rs 180 crore in India.
