"Not Done Something Wrong": Sunny Deol Opens Up About Losing His Temper At Fan
Sunny Deol, who is basking in the success of ‘Gadar 2’, opened up about the viral airport incident where he lost his cool at a fan.
Bollywood actor Sunny Deol is currently enjoying the massive success of his new Hindi movie, 'Gadar 2'. The Bollywood film, directed by Anil Sharma, released on August 11 alongside Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’. The new Hindi movie, also starring Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma, has so far collected more than Rs 470 crore at the domestic box office. It will likely cross the Rs 500 crore mark by the end of this week. On Wednesday, 'Gadar 2' minted Rs 8.60 crore, taking the total nett collection to Rs 474.35 crore.
Amid the success of ‘Gadar 2’, Sunny Deol has also made headlines for the wrong reasons. Recently, a video went viral in which Sunny Deol was seen getting angry at a fan at an airport.
As the fan tried to click a selfie, Sunny Deol lost his cool at him and asked him to take the photograph quickly.
Now, in a podcast with Ranveer Allahbadia aka Beer Biceps, Sunny Deol recalled the incident, and gave an explanation.
“Sometimes what happens is that I am constantly running around. I also got a catch in my back recently, but still, I am at it and I have to go along with it. So many times it has happened that I am in pain but still have to keep moving. Obviously, fans love you, and you share that with them. A lot of times, even when it (selfie) is done, they don’t move away. So at that time, I am not thinking if someone is recording me, and what I’m thinking is, ‘Let me carry on. Please try and understand’. There is an emotional connection with fans," said Sunny Deol, as reported by Hindustan Times.
"Whoever wants to edit and present it like that does it, and those who are doing it are having fun, so let them have fun. I am not going to change because of that. I have not done something wrong," he added.
This is not the only incident where Sunny Deol lost his temper. In another video, Sunny Deol lost his cool at two women, and he was seen asking them to shush.
Talking about 'Gadar 2', the plot of the movie revolves around a father Tara Singh (Sunny Deol), who would go to any length to bring back his son Jeete (Utkarsh Sharma) from Pakistan where he has been held captive by army general Hamid Iqbal (Manish Wadhwa).
‘Gadar 2’ is the sequel to the 2001 hit ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’, which was also directed by Anil Sharma. It was a blockbuster hit in 2001, when it clashed against the acclaimed hit ‘Lagaan’, which starred Aamir Khan. It finished with Rs 130 crore at the global box office.
‘Gadar 2’ also stars Manish Wadhwa, Gaurav Chopra, Simrat Kaur, Luv Sinha, Rakesh Bedi and Dolly Bindra. The popular songs from the 2001 original, ‘Udd Jaa Kaale Kaava’ and ‘Main Nikla Gaddi Leke’ have been recreated for ‘Gadar 2’.
