Sunny Deol is all set to roar! His upcoming release 'Gadar 2' will hit the theatres on August 11, and it will be clashing against Akshay Kumar's 'OMG 2'. 'Gadar 2' tickets as of now are selling like hot cupcakes, and the movie is expected to collect at least Rs 25-30 crore on the opening day. As the movie gears up for release, Sunny Deol expressed his opinion on cross-border love stories, and he also advocated for people to embrace and respect others' choices.

Of late, Seema Haider and Anju have been making news. For the unversed, Seema Haider is a Pakistan resident who came to India to marry her lover Sachin from Greater Noida.

On the other hand, Anju crossed the border to be with her Pakistani "friend".

When asked if his films are motivating people to engage in relationships across borders, Sunny Deol told AajTak: “I don’t believe so… Nowadays, technology facilitates people meeting through apps. Once they develop feelings for each other, they naturally want to meet and be together. Instead of criticising or concerning ourselves with such matters, we should respect their choices, as it’s their personal life. Whether it’s right or wrong is for them to decide.”

“Since my childhood, I’ve rarely read newspapers or watched the news. I used to focus solely on the sports pages. News has become more like a commodity now," he added.

'Gadar 2' has been directed by Anil Sharma and it stars Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Manish Wadhwa and Gaurav Chopra in the lead roles.

For the unversed, 'Gadar' had released on the same day as Aamir Khan's 'Lagaan', and the movie was set during the partition of India. The plot of the 2001 film revolved around Tara Singh, played by Sunny Deol, and how he fell in love with Sakina, a Pakistani girl, played by Ameesha Patel.

In the original 'Gadar', Sunny Deol had played a Sikh truck driver from Amritsar while Ameesha Patel portrayed the role of a Muslim girl hailing from a political family in Lahore, Pakistan.

Ahead of the 'Gadar 2' teaser launch, the original movie had re-released in the theatres on June 9.
