Actor Sunny Deol is currently basking in the glory of his latest release 'Gadar 2'. The new Hindi movie directed by Anil Sharma, which also stars Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma, has managed to emerge as a massive success story. The new Hindi movie has already collected more than Rs 500 crore in India, and it needs to be seen whether it manages to withstand the 'Jawan' wave, and beat 'Pathaan' to become the highest-grossing Hindi movie.

Sunny Deol, who is also a BJP MP, is often mocked on social media for his low parliament attendance. In the latest entertainment news, Sunny Deol made an appearance on 'Aap Ki Adalat', and it was there that he was asked about his low parliamentary attendance and whether he intends to run for elections in 2024.

“My attendance is really low and I don’t say that this is a good thing but when I came into politics, I realised this is not my world. But I am working for my constituency and I will keep doing that. It doesn’t matter if I go to parliament or not, that doesn’t affect my work for my constituency. Also, I face problems when I go to the parliament," said Sunny Deol, as reported by The Indian Express.

"There is security and then there was Covid. As an actor wherever you go, people surround you. I have a list of the work I’ve done for my constituency, but I am not among those who promote their work. As for politics, yes it is a profession that I don’t fit in," he added.

When asked whether he wants to contest Lok Sabha polls next year, the actor said: "I don’t want to fight anymore."

“Modi ji also knows that this boy Sunny is doing service for the country through his films, so he should continue doing that," he added.

For the unversed, Sunny Deol had joined BJP in April 2019, and he then successfully secured victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, representing the Gurdaspur constituency in Punjab.

Sunny Deol had then defeated Sunil Jakhar of the Indian National Congress (INC).
