This South Indian Actress Picks Prabhas-Starrer ‘Salaar’ Over Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’, Social Media Explodes
It will be a monstrous clash at the box office as Prabhas’ 'Salaar' is releasing on the same day as Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Dunki'.

And December 2023 will witness one of the biggest box office clashes in ages as Prabhas’ ‘Salaar’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’ are both releasing on December 22. As we gear up to see who wins the box office battle, Indian actress Malavika Mohanan recently picked ‘Salaar’ over ‘Dunki’.
Malavika Mohanan, who made her Tamil debut with Rajinikanth’s ‘Petta’, recently held an interactive session with her fans on X, formerly known as Twitter. A social media user asked her to pick one between the two upcoming movies.
Responding to the user, Malavika Mohanan said that she is excited about both the films, but would choose ‘Salaar’ over ‘Dunki’ as the former features Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The Indian actress also added that she loved the teaser of ‘Salaar’.
“Really excited for both but if I had to pick one I would say #Salaar loved the teaser & thought Prabhas sir & Prithviraj sir looked too cool in it,” Malavika Mohanan wrote on X.

Malavika Mohanan’s reply led to fans of Prabhas and Shah Rukh Khan fighting about which is the better film out of the two.
One user wrote, “Hakle ko koi bi pel deta h,” referring to Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic ‘Darr’ dialogue.
Another one added, “Salaar is unstoppable.”
A third one commented, “Still #Dunki will create History.”
“Who is she ? Chlo @iamsrk k wajah se popular to hui jo v hai. #Dunki,” another comment read.
Another one said, “SRK is king of Bollywood salaar flop against dunki.”
A fan also posted a picture of Malavika Mohanan with SRK from an event. Responding to it, she wrote, “Such a lovely memory this is. This is when I was nominated for ‘Best debut’ for Filmfare & that year SRK sir was presenting all the debutants of the year. Was an absolute dream to stand next to him on a stage.”

Talking about 'Salaar', the movie has been directed by Prashanth Neel, and it also features Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Ramachandra Raju, Sriya Reddy, Easwari Rao, among others.
On the other hand, 'Dunki' has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani, who is known for projects like 'MunnaBhai MBBS', 'Lage Raho MunnaBhai', '3 Idiots', 'PK', and 'Sanju'.
Rajkumar Hirani is yet to deliver a flop at the box office. Apart from SRK, 'Dunki' also stars Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani and Vicky Kaushal.
Meanwhile, Malavika Mohanan, last seen in ‘Christy’, will be returning to the big screen with Pa Ranjith’s ‘Thangalaan’. She is also part of a Hindi project titled ‘Yudhra’.
As per several reports, Malavika Mohanan has been chosen to play the female lead in Prabhas’ upcoming film with director Maruthi. The film has been titled ‘Raja Deluxe’.
