Prabhas' 'Salaar' Achieves Huge Feat, Records Widest Release For Indian Film In North America
Prabhas has had an underwhelming 2023 so farm with Adipurush failing to win over fans, but his next project 'Salaar' has already achieved a huge feat.
Prabhas has had an underwhelming 2023 so far as his much-awaited project 'Adipurush' crashed at the box office. The Om Raut-directorial did not find many takers at the box office as fans did not like this re-imagination of the epic 'Ramayana'. Fans of the Telugu superstar are now waiting for his next release titled 'Salaar', set to release in theatres on September 28, 2023. In the latest entertainment news, Prathyangira Cinemas, one of the overseas distribution companies of 'Salaar', has announced that the Prabhas-starrer will be releasing on more than 1,979 screens across North America.
With this, 'Salaar' has come the first Indian film to release on such a wide scale in North America.

The teaser of 'Salaar' was released on July 7.
An important reveal in the teaser was that there is a second part to 'Salaar' as the upcoming movie is called 'Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire'. The teaser also featured a shot of Prithviraj Sukumaran as the main villain.
'Salaar' is the Telugu movie debut of Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Hombale Films has produced the movie. The movie will be releasing in the theatres on September 28 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
Apart from 'Salaar', Prabhas also has 'Project K' in the pipeline. The Nag Ashwin-directorial also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani.
